Overview

DeKalb Medical is hiring for a Registered Nurse (RN) for Inpatient Wound Care PRN Day Shift near Atlanta.

 

The PRN Registered Nurse job for our Inpatient Wound Care position follows the directed nursing process to evaluate, direct and deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a safe and proficient manner according to individual patient needs. The Registered Nurse also assesses patient health problems and needs, develops and implements nursing care plans, and maintains medical records.

 

The Registered Nurse provides care based on the physical, cultural, safety and learning needs of the individual patients. This person will perform delegated duties consistent with the scope and functions within the plan of care at Dekalb Medical. The right candidate for the RN job should demonstrate good organizational skills, displays appropriate judgement and problem solving skills.

 

We are also excited to announce that we recently increased our Registered Nurse pay to be commiserate with local market cost of living demands. We prefer availability to work 1-3 days per week as needed. Very supportive, innovative, close team that includes strong partnership with physicians. Will primarily work at the North Decatur campus but could be times when travel to other campus is required. Hours are typically M-F, 8a-4:30p.

 

Registered Nurse Wound Care Minimum Education, Experience and Licensure Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Registered Nurse (RN)/ Current GA Licensure
  • Completed WOCN Program accredited by WOCN Nursing Society
  • CWON Certification
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
  • 3-5 years recent experience in acute care setting
